The 700 Club did a feature
story about the flag on June 14, 2004. Shortly
thereafter I received an email from a Messianic Jewish
Rabbi, Daniel Vargas from Honolulu, Hawaii. Rabbi Vargas
wrote that on July 3, 2004 there was to be an all
Christian parade going down Waikiki Beach proclaiming
Jesus is LORD. He wanted me to send this flag so he
could place it between the flags of Jerusalem and
Israel. Ministers blowing the shofars would precede the
flags and Messianic dancers would follow. I sent as he
requested.

Rabbi emailed me
referencing the scripture in Acts 1:8...but ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth. Rabbi explained that
his spirit was quickened when he saw the gentile flag
and was sure that this prophecy would be fulfilled the
day of July 3, 2004. He continued to say Hawaii is
almost direct opposite of Jerusalem on the globe, a
speck in the Pacific and 2500 miles from a continent…the
uttermost part of the earth. All nationalities of people
gather there. |

I told this to my oldest
daughter, Amanda, and she responded that her husband, my son
in law, LT Jason Rimmer would be at Pearl Harbor that very
week end. His ship, the USS John C. Stennis was to be docked
there and Jason would look the Rabbi up. Jason was stationed
in the Tidewater area of Virginia so the fact he was on
assignment in the Pacific Ocean is a bit unusual. I told the
Rabbi and he answered “how about if your son in law carries
the flag?” Oh that was so exciting. Jason is a godly man and
our LORD was having him specially delivered to carry the
flag in the parade.
My Father and I decided to make the trip. We boarded a plane
in Baltimore, Maryland. I began to write in my journal while
the plane was still on the runway. I wrote the date of, July
2nd, 2004. The realization came that it was the exact one
year anniversary of the drawing of the flag’s image at the
Founder’s Inn in Virginia Beach.
The trip went as planned and I have photos to share. The
Gentiles and Jews came together to proclaim Jesus is LORD.
We were witnesses of Him in an uttermost part of the world
and God divinely arranged the flag’s first assignment to be
at the event.
